Our approach
Utilvex is designed to provide useful browser-based tools with a minimal data footprint. The Dead Pixel Test displays colour screens locally in your browser. It does not require an account, and it does not upload screenshots, photos, or display-test results to Utilvex.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to submit personal information to use the Dead Pixel Test. Your browser may automatically send limited technical information when loading any website, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and requested pages. This information may be processed by the hosting and security services that deliver the site.
Local storage
If you choose a light or dark appearance, Utilvex stores that preference in your browser’s local storage under the key utilvex-theme. This preference stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it by clearing this site’s browser storage.
Cookies and third parties
Utilvex does not use advertising cookies or sell personal information. If we add analytics, a contact form provider, or other third-party services in the future, we will update this policy before those services are used.
